I’m have been an ASE certified mechanic for close to 40 years and this product has made battery condition diagnosis easy. This load tester exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend this product to anyone in the automotive business that deals with battery diagnosis in any capacity.

Bought this because I had an ongoing battery problem with my Jeep. Kept replacing the battery roughly every 2 years. Bought this to help me diagnose a possible charging system issue or possible parasitic drain issue. Works very well, easy to use and comes in handy for those hard to diagnose issues.

I am a professional technician and had been looking at several of these battery testers. We have one that work supplied for us but it is a joke.
I could test the same battery twice with the unit that the employer supplied and it would give me two different results. The CGSULIT BD715 arrived
early with no shipping damage. The unit is easy to navigate. I have several batteries in my garage. Tested three of them and it correctly identified the bad battery. I had just recharged the battery in my truck. Tested it and the BD715 stated it detected a surface charge and instructed me to turn the headlamps on to drain it. The work unit never did that. Plus it ask if the battery is in the vehicle or not. Several of my fellow technicians have used it and I think we should have several in the shop before long. Great tool for the price. Come in a strong case with slide locks. The flip up kind break.

I experimented with this on several cars and a riding mower battery. It confirmed what I already knew in some cases. In one other it said the battery was bad when it was still working. The battery started showing signs of failure eventually and with help of this device I was able to get the manufacturer to warranty my battery out at no cost. So it paid for itself right there.

After performing the battery test I was prompted to start the engine so that the cranking test would be done. When I did that, the screen displayed the battery voltage instead of the cranking test results. Although the vehicle seemed to crank and start normally, I suspect the battery voltage dropped enough that the unit reset. Since the batter tested bad, I replaced it and attempted a retest itself. This time the tester worked fine and performed the battery, cranking and charging system tests like it should.

Seems to be very accurate as I hooked it up to a known bad battery and it gave me the same results as the ones professional shops use I also tried it on a couple other good batteries one new and one 4 years old and it was very consistent with the professional units. So far it seems to be a very well built and useful tool almost anyone could use

Bought this tool to have on hand just in case for quick diagnostics of the battery, starting, and charging system. This tool appears to be very well constructed and the buttons are firm which I like. I tested this out on 4 different cars with known good systems and all came back accurate. I took this to work and tested numerous battery cores with expected results, they either tested bad or charge and retest. The tool is laid out well and the interface is very user friendly. The outer case is ruggedized and seems like it would hold up to standard wear and tear. The only downside I see is that the cables may be the weak spot here, they are built into the tool and not detachable. I am not sure if you can get new leads for the unit or not so that could render the unit useless prematurely. The manual was written well with easy to understand instructions. Overall I am very happy with the purchase but may change the rating if the leads let me down.

I'm an engineer and have lots of things around my house with batteries and charging systems on them, cars, trucks, lawn mowers, motorcycles, scooters, tractors, generators, you name it. If it's got a battery and even though you keep a trickle charger on it, sometimes batteries go bad, they just do. Up till now, I've been at the mercy of the local auto parts store to test my battery and/or charging systems. No more, as you can see in one of my pictures, I did a battery and charging system test on my little motorcycle in about 2 minutes. All you need is a little information off the battery to put into the unit and the tester prompts you to do the rest. It was very intuitive and straightforward to use from my perspective. The unit itself, cables and operator manual come in a nicely made case with velcro straps holding the various pieces in position, well done. I have a lot of tools and I was really impressed by the quality of this unit, it looks like something a professional mechanic might use. This wonderful little tool will be added to my repertoire of tools in my shop...I didn't even know something like this existed for the home mechanic, but now I do. I would recommend this unit to anyone who's like me and has a lot of toys with batteries and charging systems...

Had an old toaster style that always said every battery was good boss man told me to try his snap on battery analyzer took it with me used the toaster said good battery snap on said 40 charged half cranking amps bad battery. Ordered this one even though my boss wanted me to waste my money on snap on. Tested side by side same result every time. I would buy this again.
