It's built well has a great case, and it worked. I used it on my 2003 Jaguar X-Type and it read all the codes without a hitch, it provides great detail on the codes so you don't have to look them up.

The reset features are nice and afford the majority of basic maintenance, like breaks, oil, and tires, plus the throttle body which is great. When you consider a good basic scanner like the one I started with, cost around 60-70. Adding another scanner that will allow resetting options for maintenance you can get up there.

I found it easy to use and understand making this a really good unit for any DIY mechanic or even your neighborhood mechanic that wants to elevate their game. I'm pleased with the unit and recommend it.

Nice product

This is definitely one of the better one way scanners I’ve used. At least at the price point. Most scan tools that are under $200 have very limited capabilities. This one scans ALL the computers in the vehicle and reports all present and history codes. You can then go into each computer and read/clear any codes. Most scan tools in this price range can do ECM, TCM, and maybe the BCM. This one will scan all present computers. It also has a live data functions for any computer in the vehicle that supports it. On top of that, you can graph out numerous sensor data (A/F, O2, TPS, RPM, the list is very long).
If you’re just looking to quickly clear a few codes from your engine, this is probably overkill. But if you have a decent idea of what you’re doing and are trying to do some more in-depth diagnostics…this might be perfect for you. Short of spending over $1000 for a scan tool that has 2 way capability, this scanner seems to be ideal for A LOT of DIYers who know what they are doing. I’ve tried numerous “cheap” scanners over the years and so far, this one is by far the best. Also, I have not tried it, but it does have the capability of being updated via USB port and a computer. So, in a few years, when you try to work on a car that’s not supported, you “should” be able to go online with the USB connection to a regular computer and update the software for the newest supported vehicles.
Bravo for making a decent scan tool for under $200!!
